Youth groups from around Cambridgeshire came together at the Comberton Arts Centre on the 9th of April 2010 for the fourth annual 'Celebration of youth event'.
Over 200 young people, parents, youth worker and dignitaries watched as the winners from over 60 nominations were presented with their awards by the Chairman of the County Council.
The audience was also treated by performances from The JUNK theatre group, STARS at Ramsey and Stage Chance from Soham.
The event also hosted the final of Young Lives 'Cambridgeshire's Got Talent' as the three finalists, Jade Warne, Aimee Peart Webb and James Burke performed for the title. The overall winner was Aimee with a beautiful rendition of Pixe Lott's 'Nothing Compares'. Second place went to freestyle drummer James Burke followed in third place by Jade Warne singing 'Run' by Leona Lewis.... All three gave very talented performances.
The evening also had a fundraising aspect and Helen Bearfield Smith the Regional Appeals Manager for the Teenage Cancer Trust was delighted to hear that over £750 and been raised by the sponsored walk and other activities.
