Every year there are a range of awards given in recognition of Cambridgeshire County Council youth work activities across the County. The winners of this year’s awards have been invited to the celebration event at Hinchingbrooke Performing Arts Centre in Huntingdon to pick up their awards.
The categories have been based on national categories and on previous awards within Cambridgeshire. Youth workers have also been involved in their development.
The winning applications were short listed by young people in different groups across Cambridgeshire towards at the end of February. A central group of young people then decided the overall winners in each category. The judgements were based on the best application that met the description under the categories.
Youth groups or projects were able to apply in as many categories as wished but Awards 1 – 4 are only open to all successful Youth Bank bids from that area Youth Bank. Awards 5 – 12 were only open to Office for Children and Young People Services youth work initiatives.
