Here are some of the agencies that people often need in an emergency. 

If the situation is serious and you are not sure who you need .... call the police.

I need to contact the police - If you need help immediately dial 999. If it is not so urgent you can ring Cambs Police on 0845 4564564

I need to contact Social Services (for help with family/personal problems). - Ring 0845 0455201

I need to report a case of Child Abuse - If you are unable to talk to your parent/carer try your teacher, youth worker or Connexions adviser. If this is not possible you can ring Social Services on the number above.  If you or a friend are in immediate danger ring the Police on 999.

I need emergency contraception - This can be taken up to 3 days or 72 hours after the event - go to the emergency contraception page to find out more and where to go to get it
