Most people are surprised at how understanding their parents/carers can be and remember that have done the growing up bit as well so they will know what you are going through.
But… not everyone finds it easy to talk to people who are close so who else is there? Teachers, youth workers and connexions advisers are the best people to go to first because they have been trained to listen, and know a load of people who can help.
