Help Yourselves! - The Help Yourselves! award scheme is offering awards of up to £1000 for young people wanting to run projects that would help to change the lives of children and young people in their community. Its Your Community Awards - Want to volunteer to do something for your community or to raise community spirit but have no funds for equipment and other outlays? Then check out 'It's Your Community Awards'.  This organisation can give grants of £100 to £1000 for projects benefiting the community, check out their website for info on how to apply for the cash. www.itsyourcommunity.co.uk/ 

 

The High Sheriff's Award - The High Sheriff’s Award Scheme aims to encourage youth groups throughout Cambridgeshire set up projects to help in their communities, promotes a safer, crime-free society and in doing so helps to improve the confidence and self-esteem of young people. Grants are awarded to groups of young people who are undertaking projects to improve their communities.

The Princes Trust  - The Princes Trust offer awards of up to £5000 for projects run and managed by 14 – 24 year olds that benefit their community. They can also provide advice and support to give such projects the maximum chance of success. Youth Banks - Money for young people's activities

There are  four YouthBanks  inviting applications from 13-19 year olds living in South Cambs, Cambridge City, Hunts and East Cambs/Fenland.

The money the YouthBanks have to give out is from the Youth Opportunity Fund. The money is to fund young people led projects which give them and other young people “things to do”. This could be anything from sport activities, art projects, youth projects to DJ’ing.

The projects /activities must encourage one or more of the following for the young people :
    - to be healthy
    - stay safe
    - to enjoy and achieve
    - to make a positive contribution
    - to achieve economic well being

Vinspired is an organisation that gives 16-25 year olds in England the opportunity to volunteer at projects across the country, or to start their own volunteering campaigns to really make a difference in their communities.

Currently, Vcashpoint is giving away £1 million to young people who want to set up and lead a volunteering project that would benefit their community, and each project could get as much as £2500 to spend.
