How do I apply?
You apply direct to the school or college you are hoping to study at. You can apply to more than one centre or course.
Check with individual schools/colleges to find out how you apply and whether there are any deadline dates.
Some schools in Huntingdonshire are taking part in the pilot of an online application system. If you are at one of these schools you will make your application through Cambs Coursefinder Your school or college will make sure you have all the information you need to make your application.
Make sure you go along to open days/evenings to find out more about the courses available.
What happens next?
You will probably be asked to go for an interview.
What happens if I don't get accepted?
If you have applied to more than one post-16 centre, you will be considered for all your choices. If you are unsuccessful, you can apply for alternative options. You can talk to your careers co-ordinator or form tutor about your options and other choices.
When will I know if I've been accepted?
You will normally receive an offer of a place in the summer term. The offer may be conditional on you achieving certain grades in your GCSEs or other exams.
What if I change my mind?
Ideas do change and some people will want to change their course choices. Talk to your careers co-ordinator or form tutor; they will advise you.
What if I don't make the conditions of my offer?
Contact your post-16 centre immediately; they will help and advise you.
