About us
You're perhaps wondering what the UK Youth Parliament is? Well this page will help you to understand not only what the UK Youth Parliament is, but also what we do and who we represent.
What is the UK Youth Parliament?
The UK Youth Parliament enables young people to use their energy and passion to change the world for the better. Run by young people for young people, the uk youth parliament provides opportunities for 11-18 year-olds to use their voice in creative ways to bring about social change.
What do we do?
The UK Youth Parliament has three national campaigns, that are voted on by the members of UK Youth Parliament. Its the job of members and deputy members to support the campaigns and endorse them throughout their constituencys. The three current campaigns are:
- Abolish university tuition fees
- Public transport
- Incorporate political education into secondary education curriculum
We provide all young people with a voice and make sure that the campaigns are what they wish to achieve and that their voices are heard in every aspect of the work we do.
Who we represent?
The uk youth parliament represents all young people between the ages of 11-18, regardless of ethnic background, race, sexuality or disability. we work to change the lifes of all young people for the better.

Cambridgeshire is split into three constiuencys, each having a Member and a Deputy Member of Youth Parliament:
Lewis Punter- Member for East Cambridgeshire and Fenland
Will Heron- Member for North Cambridgeshire and Huntingdon
Sophie Jones- Member for South Cambridgeshire and City
Kayleigh Bamford- Deputy member for South Cambridgeshire and City
