Tea and Cake at the Farm House

Update on what we are doing - From the senior club at Bar Hill

We come here on a Thursday to socialise and hang with friends. We play football, pool and when the weathers bad we play on the x box.

Through the summer we are doing an art project. Working with an artist called Rob Birch to help make the youth club a brighter, livelier place. We are painting pictures of ourselves on boards that we will then be put up on the walls upstairs inside the farmhouse. We are painting ourselves with normal colours or extravagant colours like pink hair, green faces etc. This project is hopefully going to run for a while so we can do more. We will be having a launch party in September so watch this space.

From September we hope to start a new project, looking at a cafe style project with the possibility of painting the outside of the building and laying a patio at the front. We want to do this for all the people in the village so they can come in and get a cup of tea and cake.... we're into our cooking.

We will keep you updated on this project.

We would also like more volunteers to come in and help with our clubs, if you are interested please contact Julie Bristow on 07824820453 or at Julie.bristow@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
