Volunteers Wanted ASAP

Speaking up

Speakingup are running their Integrate Project and are looking for 16-25 years old to volunteer as buddies/mentors for other young people who have learning difficulties in and around Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Peterborough.

The aim of the project is to integrate young people with disabilities with their non-disabled peers in a meaningful way. At the meetings volunteers will work together to design a project/workshop/DVD to show to young people without disabilities to raise awareness.

No experience is need and full training will be provided. Volunteers can also work towards a Youth Achievement Award if they are interested.

Speakingup work to achieve a society in which everyone’s voice, views and hopes can be heard loudly and clearly, in which our rights are understood and respected, and in which each of us is able to lead a full and enjoyable life.

If you would like to get involved please contact Lauren Evans on: 01223555842, email: lauren.evans@speakingup.org or visit: www.speakingup.org
