Baking for Aids awareness
10 young "Health Ambassadors" from the Ely locality raised £111 for Aids awareness by baking and selling cakes during World Aids Day activities on 1st December 2011.
Over 100 people purchased cakes at this event which was part of a health initiative to train young people to become Health Ambassadors. The project took place over 10 session and covered topics such as: drug education, sexual health, Aids awareness, risk taking, drink and drug abuse, Internet safety, sexuality and peer pressure.
The 10 participants were give a Health Ambassadors Certificate and 7 of them completed the Cambridgeshire youth Award.
