This free one day course opens up the opportunity for you to experience first-hand the basics of composites, and the potential career pathways available. You will gain introductory knowledge about composite materials,processes and create a composites part during the course. There will be the ability to ask questions, look at career opportunities and receive further course information.
This course is open to anyone looking for work, considering a career change
or just wanting more information on what working in the composites industry
looks like.
The day will be from 09:30-16:00, with breaks for coffee and lunch.

- Background to the world of composites
- Practical – making a composite component
- Opportunities
- What next?
Results:
You will gain an understanding of how to tap into your own skills and experience to kickstart a career in the composites industry by:
- Having an understanding of what a composite is
- Learning the basic principles of component manufacture
- Exploring the possible opportunities in the industry
