Butcher Apprentice

Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm. Saturday: 9am - 1pm.



Job Description:

You will be working for a local butcher in Fordham as an Apprentice Butcher. Your day-to-day tasks could include: buying, ordering, storing and controlling stock, receiving deliveries and checking their content and hygiene, moving meat stock to cold storage areas, creating product displays, cutting, boning and trimming meat, serving customers and advising customers on how to prepare and cook meat.


In house training and for the right candidate the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications. Equivalent to one day a week.


No formal qualifications requested by the employer but you should have basic literacy and numeracy skills. Candidate would ideally be sensible and practical individual, willing to learn butchery.


This is an excellent opportunity gain experience as a butcher. For the right candidate there will be the prospect of becoming one of the fully skilled butchers within the team.

Additional Information:

Holiday: 4 weeks plus bank holidays. Uniform: Butchers coat.
