To be discussed at interview, but will be a competitive salary and reward structure starting at £15,600 per annum but rising with regard to experience and qualifications. This salary will be pro rata for day release students.

Hours:

Site hours Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.00pm (half an hour for lunch).

Job Description:

This employer principally acts to advise clients and professional specifiers, all over the UK, in the inspection and safety of external building fabric. They have a strong knowledge base on concrete, brickwork, fenestration, cladding, and the other external fabric building materials. In house Engineers often abseil, and the knowledge of concrete and its deterioration is particularly strong, this being their original core business. Their engineers travel all over the UK and transport to site is provided. Responsibilities include carrying out on-site inspections and other site works associated with the service provided, and assisting with the reporting associated with these tasks. The work is usually outdoors and sometimes involves abseiling so abseil training will be offered after you have finished your probationary period. If you are looking for training in a practical and fast moving environment that can genuinely offer you long term career prospects, then this may be the opportunity for you.

Training:

Full on the job training (including abseiling and Health & Safety training) and if appropriate, day release for accredited training (pro rata salary).

Qualifications:

The company is looking for someone who is practically minded and wants to work outdoors in the construction industry. They are happy to provide training to the right person. This may be the perfect job for a person with qualifications in Construction and the Built Environment but, also suitable for someone who would like start their career in the Construction industry, whilst following this course on a part time basis whilst working.

Additional Information:
