Job Description:

You will initially be based at their A14 Contract near Cambridge. General roles will include assisting the existing fitters, servicing and repairing heavy earthworks plant & machinery and collecting parts. The aim will be to develop your skills and assist you in reaching your full potential, whilst supporting you by providing appropriate training.


You will complete an apprenticeship whilst working at the company. Equivalent to one day a week.


You should have desirably - 5 GCSE A*- C or equivalent (including minimum C in maths and English). You will have an interest in engineering and can demonstrate basic technical ability. You will be flexible with strong teamwork orientation. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills with problem solving abilities. You will have the willingness to work outdoors, sometimes in poor weather conditions. You will have good organisational skills with good timekeeping. Personal qualities the company are looking for: Ability and willingness to undergo in-house training on all products. Takes initiative and has a "can-do mentality''. Cultural awareness to secure smooth cooperation and communication with team members. Disciplined, flexible and be eager to learn. Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement. Ability to stay calm under pressure. Ability to know when to seek guidance. Motivated & willing to accept responsibility. You will be keen to progress with a positive attitude. PLEASE NOTE: For this role you will need a Full UK Driving Licence.
