Full Time, 37.5 Hours per week.

Job Description:

The portering team are responsible for moving patients and equipment all around the hospital and are a critical part of what makes the Hospital an outstanding hospital. They are currently looking to recruit a porter. You will be responsible, following training, for the collection and delivery of patients and materials across the Trust and other Logistics tasks. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering this essential service to the Trust and have excellent customer service skills, good understanding of manual handling and safety and lead by example in this operational role.

Training:

In house training and NVQ in Portering. Equivalent to one day a week.

Qualifications:

No qualification are required for this position. You will be required to achieve a NVQ in Portering within first 12 months. You will need to be able to walk long and consistent distances across all areas of the hospital. Proven experience dealing directly with the public in a customer service led environment required (this could be by work experience or previous part time work).
