Job Description:

This company's Power Technician 4 year programme contains a blend of academic study and practical skills training at their specialist in-house training facility. You will also experience 'on the job' competency development and assessment in some of the UK's leading power stations. By the end of your 4 years you will have achieved a HNC and may have the opportunity to study for a higher national diploma.

Training:

During the first 2 years of the programme you will complete further education modules, supplemented by a range of technical and practical skills training delivered at their Yorkshire training facility. In years 3 and 4 you will develop 'on the job' in class leading power stations.
You are supported throughout your programme by experienced power industry and training professionals.

Qualifications:

You must have, or predicted to achieve National Certificate/ BTEC in an engineering subject OR 2 A Levels including a Mathematics and a Science based subject. You will have an inquisitive and analytical mind-set making you a great problem solver. You will have a desire to learn, and further develop your skills. You will be highly motivated with a can-do attitude, enabling you to work independently. You will be a fantastic team-player with exceptional communication skills. You will take initiative, are conscientious and committed. You have a passion for the energy industry.
