Consultation on School Nurses

School nurses can work with you, as well as your schools, family and community, to improve your health and wellbeing. They might do this through personal appointments and reviews, or by running wider sessions on general health and wellbeing across your class, year and school.

Public Health Englandwork to protect and improve our health and wellbeing as a nation. They are really interested to know what you, as a young person, think about your school nurse experience.

Youth Voice Census 2018

The results are now available, key findings were:

Our society is failing young women:

  • At every stage of education, young women are getting less access to careers support than young men.
  • Young women are less likely to have work experience opportunities.
  • Young women are 20% less likely than young men to have ever received experiences like CV workshops and visits to university.
  • 75% of young women have never had the option of starting their own business discussed with them.
  • Only 38% of young women are confident that they know the skills employers are looking for, in comparison to 54% of young men.

Wisbech Skate Park Consultation

Young people are being asked what they'd like to see in a new and improved skate park for Bath Road, Waterlees, to replace the old park removed last year due to safety concerns. Have your say in a new consultation on Wisbech Skate Park - and be in with a chance of winning a 50 Route One voucher to spend on skate and streetwear.

The skate park consultation runs until the end of February and will include local schools. At the end of the consultation, a winner for the 50 Route One voucher will be chosen from all participants at random.
